Patient followup is recommended after hospital discharge from COVID-19 infection to control the pandemic since there may be downstream issues of potential reactivation, long-term pulmonary defects, and PTSD.
Strategies for follow up are
1. Isolation and PCR testing
2. Radiology and pulmonary function imaging surveillance
3. Psychological assessments for mental healthcare.
